Where Precision Meets Design

This is what makes it the talk of the bay.

Set high on a Sausalito hillside, the home looks out across Richardson Bay with wide, uninterrupted views that shift with the light throughout the day. Elevated and set back, surrounded by mature landscaping, it offers a level of privacy that feels rare this close to San Francisco.

Few homes offer this kind of access without sacrificing privacy. Here, San Francisco is minutes away, yet the setting remains completely your own.

The home has been fully reimagined with that same clarity. The owners partnered with Fontana Construction and the Wiseman Group to rebuild it from the ground up, approaching every decision with long-term living in mind. Every system was replaced, every finish reconsidered, and the result is something that feels cohesive, intentional, and easy to live in.

The main level opens naturally, with teak floors, strong natural light, and spaces that connect without feeling forced. A custom stone fireplace anchors the living room, while the kitchen has been expanded and refined with custom cabinetry, stone countertops, high-end appliances, and a butler’s pantry that adds both function and flexibility. Doors open to a rebuilt terrace that extends the living space outward, with glass railings and open views across the bay.

Upstairs, the primary suite takes over its own level, creating a sense of separation that feels both practical and considered. French oak floors run throughout, with a bathroom that leans into a quieter, more understated approach with a steam shower and well-chosen materials. The closet is fully custom, and the private decks offer a direct connection to the view, something that becomes part of the daily rhythm.
The lower level adds flexibility in a way that is not often seen, with a fully rebuilt solarium that includes a wet bar, wine storage, sauna, and space for fitness or downtime. Outside, the grounds have been thoughtfully refined with native plantings and a mature privacy hedge, creating a consistent sense of separation from the street while maintaining a clean, natural feel.

This is a home that was rebuilt to be lived in, not just presented. It offers a rare balance of privacy, design, and proximity to San Francisco, all working together without compromise.
